The Ecumenical Academic Intensive Formation
The Ecumenical Institute for the Middle East is honored to invite you to apply for the
Tenth Annual Ecumenical Academic Intensive Formation
This two-week course brings together students from youth movements in churches from different Arab countries (Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, and Jordan), as well as participants from theological colleges and universities who wish to receive ecumenical formation at a university level.
The Ecumenical Formation course is the core of the Institute’s program, followed by an online course with several specialised courses. the Institute also offers a third stage for students who want to research ecumenical topics to complement the Formation course.
This tenth annual ecumenical formation course will take place in Lebanon from 8 to 21 September 2025. During the course, students from different ecclesial perspectives will come together to live a unique ecumenical experience of getting to know each other. The Institute will provide lecturers and professors to accompany the students.
The students participating in the 10th Annual Ecumenical Formation Course will experience ‘Ecumenical Interactivity’ through praying together, studying together, living together, rejoicing together, and a program of external visits and encounters that the Institute considers part of the ecumenical formation.
The Institute considers that every student who attends the Institute becomes a partner in its construction, a key element that carries the ecumenical orientation and transmits the knowledge they have acquired and the love they have lived with others to build the one Church of Christ, based on this East that God wants us to witness to him.
